'Twas the Night Before Christmas!
Author talk and book signing. Join us as we welcome author and art historian
Pamela Mc Coll as part of her multi-state speaking tour in celebration of the bicentennial of the holiday classic.
McColl covers the poem’s extensive publishing, the authorship debate (was it actually written by Locust Grove's own Henry Livingston, Jr.?) and the work’s art legacy, providing an overview of the multitude of book editions that have been produced over the years. The poem has stood the test of time, enjoyed by ten generations of children, and remains the most often recited, most republished and re-illustrated work in the library of English literature.
Books available for purchase in the museum shop before and after the talk.
3pm - 5pm. Free and open to the public
