Pantry

The pantry was constructed for the Young family in 1901, and contains an important connection between the kitchen and dining room: the dumbwaiter behind the door in the corner. Its cupboards hold the dinnerware required for the elaborate meals enjoyed by the Youngs, and, with a built-in sink, wine cooler, and call box for the servants, it was an extremely functional space designed to move food from stove to table quickly and efficiently.
