As you would expect, Locust Grove’s largest bedroom (with the best views) was used first by Samuel Morse, and then by William and Martha Young. 

After William and Martha Young moved to Locust Grove, they picked this bedroom, with its lovely views of the Hudson River, as their own.  They updated the house’s mechanical systems, including steam heat, servants bells, and hot and cold running water with indoor water closets for the first time.
