For Groups

The historic Locust Grove Estate is today a museum and nature preserve, operated by a not-for-profit foundation for the enjoyment of the public. The unique combination of landscaped lawns, sweeping vistas, elegant collections, and beautiful buildings makes it one of the most intriguing Hudson River estates.

Reservations are required for groups of 10 or more – we strongly recommend booking at least two weeks in advance.

All group tours begin with an orientation at the Visitor Center, followed by a short walk to the mansion which is situated on almost 200 acres of spreading lawns, magnificent trees, and elegant gardens overlooking Hudson River. Expert guides will conduct visitors through twenty-five rooms on three floors of the house which are furnished with extensive collections of American and European furniture and paintings exhibited in period-room settings. The tour will conclude with a return to the Visitor Center and a self-guided tour of the exhibits which include telegraph equipment and paintings by Samuel Morse. The unique Museum Shop, opulent gardens and lush grounds are also available for visitors.

Short on time? Add a boxed lunch, which your guests can enjoy in our shady picnic grove, or on the covered terrace! Click here for more information.
